I was fortunate that one of Japan's major corporations, Hitachi, hired me to shoot screensavers, which they are posting on their website for distribution to their clients. This assignment was essentially a photographer's dream. My parameters were: Shoot whatever you think would work as screensaver and wallpaper images. My only limitation was that the photos had to be horizontally framed. I was free to be creative in any way I wanted and to travel an entire island in search of beautiful nature shots, which abound on the Big Island. And even better, my great friend and accomplished volcano specialist cameraman, Brad Lewis, agreed to show me some of his favorite locations.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much I enjoyed shooting them. You can also download the full-size wallpapers and screensavers at the Hitachi website. They will release a new wallpaper and screensaver each month for the next 2 years.
